Business and Personal Insurance in New Berlin and Greater Milwaukee

Independent Insurance Agency Since 1997

MM Insurance Associates is an independent insurance agency at 15885 W National Ave, Suite 300, New Berlin, WI 53151, in Waukesha County. Our number (call/text) is (262) 754-4736. We currently serve clients across 24 states. Our clients run from a startup coffee trailer to companies doing over $100 million in revenue, and we write commercial lines, workers compensation, real estate investor coverage, and personal lines.

What We Write

Business Insurance

Business Insurance

General liability, property, commercial auto, umbrella, and the coverages that get missed, like hired and non-owned auto. Most of our commercial book is in southeast Wisconsin.

Rental Property Insurance

Real Estate

Rentals, flips, vacant buildings, and multi property schedules. First rental or fortieth, the policy form matters more than the price.

Electrical Line Repair

Workers Compensation

Required in Wisconsin once you hire a third employee, or sooner if you pay five hundred dollars or more in wages in a quarter. We work the experience mod, not just the quote.

Family Walking Beach

Life and Disability

Term life, permanent life, disability income, and key person coverage for owners whose businesses would stall without them.

Home & Auto Insurance

Home and Auto

Homeowners, auto, renters, and umbrella. We check that your dwelling limit still matches what it would cost to rebuild, which is where most policies drift.

Boat Insurance

Boat and Specialty

High value boats, classic cars, motorcycles, and the items a homeowners policy caps or excludes. Agreed value matters here.

Why Work With An Independent Agency?

Independent means we are not owned by an insurance company. We represent dozens of carriers, and at every renewal we can move your account to whichever one prices your risk best that year. A captive agent has one carrier's appetite to work with. When that carrier decides it no longer wants your class of business, or files a twenty percent increase, the choice is to take it or start over with a new agent.

Do I Need Workers Compensation Insurance In Wisconsin?

You need workers compensation in Wisconsin the day you hire your third employee, full time or part time. The threshold drops to one employee if you pay five hundred dollars or more in gross combined wages in any calendar quarter, and coverage is due by the tenth day of the first month of the next quarter. Part time workers count. Independent contractors are not automatically exempt.

Can You Write Coverage Outside Wisconsin?

Yes. MM Insurance Associates currently serves clients across 24 states, so we can follow clients who operate across state lines, buy property in another state, or expand out of the Milwaukee metro. Our office is at 15885 W National Ave, Suite 300, New Berlin, WI 53151, and most of our commercial book is in southeast Wisconsin, but the license footprint is not the limit.

What Do You Need From Me To Quote My Business

Send your current policies, or the declarations pages if that is all you have, plus your payroll by job type and your last three to five years of loss runs. That is enough to go to market. If you do not have loss runs, we can request them from your carrier. Fill out the Business Onboarding form or call/text the office at (262) 754-4736.

How Does An Independent Agent Quote My Insurance?

MM Insurance Associates represents dozens of carriers instead of one. When we quote your business, we send the same submission to several markets and compare what comes back on coverage, not just price. At renewal, if your carrier takes an increase you did not earn, we can move the account without you starting over with a new agent.

Start With A Conversation

We start by asking what you actually do, then we go to market. Fill out a proposal form and we will come back to you with questions before we quote anything. Or call or text (262) 754-4736.
